After moving to Las Vegas in 1991, Mr & Mrs. Martinez decided to take their life savings and open a small Carniceria "La Bonita" off of Eastern & Stewart. Mr. Martinez grew up on a family ranch in Michoacan, Mexico. His fathers very first dairy cow on that ranch was named "La Bonita".

 

This was the inspiration for the name of their carnicería "La Bonita". 

 

Today, La Bonita has 7 Supermarkets in Las Vegas, Nevada and an 8th opening in 2024. They no longer are just Carnicerias. The newest stores have Juice Bars serving fresh made juices and smoothies. Tortillerias making warm tortillas on a daily basis. A Panaderia baking conchas, bolillos and assorted Pan dulce fresh every morning. And a taqueria that cooks traditional and authentic homestyle Mexican food.
